Music

Hello everybody! What a storm! What do you think?
Today, I would like to talk about Music. I remember to Hernán, a dear friend, who don’t listen to music, ever! He will be Engineer the next year. His world is the Maths, and computational programs. What a life! I’m sure: "Life without music would be the same to death".
This is a topic very important in my life, as you can see. Since 1987 -when I was born- to the present, I have listened to many kinds of sounds and melodies. Furthermore, in my family there are people who play some instruments. My grandfather was a member of "Los huasos acampados", a traditional folk group, and there He played the guitar and Harp. All his children know to play something, for example: my mother sings and play the Cuatro; my uncle Luis sings and play the Guitar, Cuatro, Charango and Quena, etc. I play the guitar since 1994, and I sing too, but not very well. I enjoy with the songs of Silvio Rodriguez, Inti Illimani, Illapu, Mercedes Sosa, Violeta Parra, Los Jaivas, because I think that all of this people is consecuent whith the message of their songs. However, I love the groups of the Classical Rock, like Simon&Gurfunkel, Jim Croce, Cat Stevens, The Beatles, Boston, The Sweet, Yes, Bee Gees, Abba and Queen too. I must to say that the Classical Music is very important for me too. Masters like Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Albéniz, Strauss, Granados, Tárrega and Sarasate are my favorites composers.
What can you say me? What do you think about music? Is very important in your lives? Well my friends, see you the next class and don't forget to listen some of music today! Good luck in Love, Money and Health. Blessings for all of you!

Hello everybody! How are you? Now, I would like to talk about environment. How green are we? How many of you know “The Gaia Theory”? Have you ever listened about Dr. James Lovelock? What do you think about The Earth? Is alive? Is a death corpus? Let me tell you some interesting things.
This theory was developed in the late 1960’s by Dr. James Lovelock, a British Scientist and inventor, one of the 100 most important intellectuals in the world. “The Gaia Theory” postulates that the organic and inorganic components of Planet Earth have evolved together as a single living, self-regulating system. It suggests that this living system has automatically controlled global temperature, atmospheric content, ocean salinity, and other factors. In other words, “life maintains conditions suitable for its own survival.” What can you say me?
One of the most important books in our history like civilization is “The Revenge of Gaia: Why the Earth Is Fighting Back - and How We Can Still Save Humanity”, (by Dr. Lovelock) but is not so famous like it should. I recommend its lecture: in the library on Faculty of Philosophy and Humanities there are some books that you can read about this.
How green am I? I think more than many people and less than other. I don’t recycle, however, I try to pollute as little as possible. Later than my reading of the Lovelock’s book, I thought: “Earth will kill us!”. I don’t know what will happen in the future, but I think that all our actions doesn’t matter because the damage is irreversible.
I hope that you are OK! So, see you later, in the second hour and any doubts you can call me and we could dream, no problem! Read the text, don’t forget that
Blessings for all of you!

Miners

Hello everybody! Now, I want to talk about the group of miners trapped inside the Earth in Copiapó. I THINK that all of this is a TV show. The government sends TNT for a group of conspirators, who detonated the explosives to bring down the mine. All because our government needs popularity. So, in this moment there are people working for rescue to the miners of the Earth's heart. I don't know what will happen. I hope and think that all of them will be Ok! In the surface of the mine, there are many reporters of different places of the world, like Spain, United Kingdom, USA, Argentina, Italy, Norway, Sweden, Peru, Brazil, Mexico, between others.
What happen with the security in our works?
What will happen with the people who is responsable of this crime?
Will be our Minister of Minery the next President of Chile?
Where are you, my dears classmates, while happened this fact?
Freedom for Mapuches! Freedom for workers in all countries!
Peace, Force and Hope!
(and Happyness)
See you soon!

Friday

Welcome to Santiasko

Hello everybody, how are you? Now, I would like to talk about my city, Santiasko, and give suggestions for tourists who come here.
What things should they do?
1. Visit the Government Palace, La Moneda, in the center of my city. There works our President, Sebastian Piñera, and many of his Ministers. This place is one of the most important for its symbolism, for its history. In La Moneda died Mr. Salvador Allende, the first Marxist president in the world who came to power through elections.
2. Visit the "Cousiño Palace": was built between 1870 and 1878 by the french architect Paul Lathoud on request of Mr. Luis Cousiño’s widow; Isidora Goyenechea.
The Cousiño-Goyenechea was a very wealthy family, owner of Lota Coal Mines,Chañarcillo Silver Mines and also the Cousiño - Macul Vineyard which still belonging to the family. Like an european palace is composed with rooms in the first floor for different functions: the Golden Room for dancings, the Music Room with the original piano, the Recevoir Room, the Tea Room, the Dinning Room, Hall, Weapons Room and the Picture Gallery . All of them were decorated with material brought from France in the family’s ships.
3. Visit "El chiflón del diablo": is a mine located in Lota, Chile. After coal production fell in the Lota area in the 1990's, the mine was shut down. Currently, "El Chiflón del Diablo" serves as tourist attraction. In 19th cenury, the mine was property of Cousiño's family. The miners were very poor, and many of them died inside the mine, for intoxication, explotions or dehydration. It is a good idea: the tourist will know the contrast that existed in our country, between rich and poor, and still exists.
4."La Piojera", very popular restaurant. The tourists must drink "Earthquake".
5. General Cemetery of Santiago: they are burried our most important poets, artists and politicians.

Greece, the paradise.

Hello everybody! How are you today? Now, I want to talk about Greece, a country in southeastern Europe, situated on the southern end of the Balkan Peninsula. I would like to live there, because is a beautiful country for its geography and history. Greece was the homeland of Homer, Pericles, and it is the birthplace of Democracy, Philosophy, the Olympic Games, Literature and Historiography, mathematical principles and drama, including both tragedy and comedy. Greece has very nice beaches, forest, mountains and people. Athens is the capital city, who has a small hill called Achropolis. In its top, there is a Temple dedicated to Athenea, the patron goddess of the city.
Also, Greece has many islands in the Mediterranean Sea and Aegean Sea. Crete, Delos, Naxos, and Ithaca: the famous land of Odysseus, hero of the Odyssey.
In Chile, we have a teacher who is a Titular Professor from University of Athens, Dr. Miguel Castillo Didier, and he makes lessons in Universidad de Chile, in its Faculty of Philosophy and Humanities. He was my teacher of Ancient Greek (language course) during 2009, and is a very simple and good person. Well, I hope that you are Ok, See you the next Friday.

2010: my first six months.

Hello everybody! Now, I must to talk about my experiences during the first six months of this year, like student and citizen.
-First of all, in January, I was assistant in the elections for to take a new President in my homeland. Here we nominate this work as "voice of table". I had to work all the day at school where I must vote, and the State pay me US $ 10 for it. -Later, on February 27, I was sleeping when the earthquake happened, and I didn't feel it.
-On March 22, I had to start my classes at University, and I've learned many things about Ancient Middle East.
-On April 14, I played tennis with my cousins in the "National Stadium".
-One of the challenges most important for me is to work for pay the house where I live.
-On July 4, the "USA Independence Day", I knew to my best friend, Nicolás, and today, he is like my brother.
-On July 20, I traveled to Valparaiso with Nicolas, and we visited to my uncle Raul and my aunt Rosa, in "Cordillera's Hill". We sang on the buses of the city, and the people paid us.
-In August, I must to study all that I can about the European Renaissance, because I have to pass an Course about it.

That's all. See you soon!

New topics

Hello everybody! I hope that your holidays had been the best. Now, I would like to talk about the new topics for my blog during this semester. They will be three: news, art and maths equations. Why? Because for me, this three things are the most important topics in my life like human been. Trough the news, we are informed about the realitiy in our coutry and world; trough the art, we can express our feelings; and the maths equations are a tool for all that we can do. So, any question about my posts you can ask me by mail or by other post in my blog. And...What about you? What can you say? Tell me something about this. See you the next Friday, in this same cannel, at this same hour. Blesings for all!

Blog's Experience.

Hello everybody! How are you today? I hope well and very happy. Now I want to talk about the Blog's experience. Good experience, I think! All we need is to have some idea in our minds and write here! This is my first blog. My first blog in English! I think that Blog's experience let me to learn many things, beautiful things, like dreams of my classmates, ideologies, images, etc. I think that Blog's experience is a good idea from "15th Tower", the best idea that they have had. But....I would like to say something: "Thanks to the Life who gives me a lot, she gave me my eyes, and she makes my blog!" I hope that the words here exposed could be, in the future, a great song: my first and successful single! Who knows? The most important thing is to make! Of course, we are in Art Faculty. Blog’s experience let us to make. My favourite post is called “Memories”, about a picture of 1991, and my favourite blog friend is Spanglish, by Camila Urzúa, my classmate of career and generation. Blog’s experience must be massive for all the people in Chile, I think. I hope to have a child and read for him my blog’s stories. If I have a son, I will call him: Blogejandro. For this semester I hope to finish my courses and I pretend to begin and to finish my thesis. About English course, I want learn more, because this language is important for my career and an important step for to make Masters and Doctorates in other countries like Italy, Germany or Norway, in Europe or New Zeland and Australia, in Oceania.

Plop!

Hello everybody! How are you today? Are you waiting the match of Chile on Southafrica? Me too! I think that our team will win. The score could be 2-1, 3-2 or 4-3. This match will be exciting!
Now, I want to talk about Diego Parra’s Blog. The Blog is called “Sitting in an English Garden waiting for the sun”. It is a nice name. There are 8 posts. Likes me its structure, the colors sobers and serious. My favorite post is when Diego appears in a picture like Carlitos Marx, on Friday, June 11, 2010. Why? Because is very funny: with his mask, Diego represents all the Chilean people, and very specifically, the socialism renewed. Come to my mind names like Richard Lakes,Ruben Escudero (ex Quilapayun), Carlos Ominami, Michelle Bachelet and other people that today are unemployed, however, always they are travelling arround the world. How many of you can say that and make it? The “Big Pize” is to read something of Marx and Engels, to flee for Sweden, and come back to homeland before 17 years .
I think that Diego Parra must read carefully all that He write in English, and later re-thinking in Spanish, for to give more certain to his cosmovision. And now, I would like to say something very important to my friend Diego Parra: be careful!
Blessings for all!

Chile, beauty like the sun...(¿?)

Hello everybody! I will talk about my homeland, my country, my dear people of Chile. Wich is the most important characteristic of the people here? Their alzheimer. The people forgot their history; many of them are drinkers, or lazy. There is an exception, of course. Maybe the 10% of population. I am one more of the flock. There are groups nationalistic too! Names likes Miguel Serrano, Erwin Robertson, Jorge Prat, are in many minds still. I think that the words in our national coat must be: Worst is nothing! Really! In other countries exists a national identity. Here not! We are a race many mixed with different cultures. The human being is mixed now. In fact, the archeologists think that the first man was born in Africa, and then he walked to other places. Adolf Hitler had a black ancestor! We too! Whatever...in Chile always exist robbers, killers, and a few of good people that pay their travel in Transantiago and see like the government destroy the nation. How many of you pay his travel? How many of you drink milk when go to the parties? The best thing that exists in Chile is its Geography and Colo- Colo, the team of soccer who has know to be a champion. We can to include to the women. Chilean woman is hard-worker, loyal, worm, and religious, the most. I hope that you will be with your eyes opened. See you soon!

Memories...

Hello everybody! Now I'm going to talk about a picture of 1991, the first year of the Aylwin's Government. Do you remember? Chile, the happiness is coming!? Wtf! Manolo, my uncle, took the picture in our summer's home, in "El tabo", a little town near to Valparaíso (more near than Santiago at less). The house is near to the forest, on a hill, near to "Cordova Lakes", near to the "Black Island" where is the great house of Pablo Neruda, Nobel Prize of Literature in 1971. In this picture there are 4 people: Nahuel, my cousin, who was born on November 2nd, 1988; Jossune, who was born on December 11th, 1986; Rayén, who was born on April 28th, 1989; and of course, Giovanni, who was born on September 11th, 198X. Also, in the picture we can see the old car of Manolo for that historical period. I think that this picture is very sweet and tender. Really, we were so happy...I don't know what happened later. Well, I know but is incredible how short is the life and how quickly Time flies!...Today, Nahuel has a wife, Pucca, and they have a daughter, Kiara. Jossune has a son, Rafael Stefano; Rayén has an apartament, a cat and a boyfriend; and me …well..I have many works to do! Many time ago that I didn’t see to Nahuel, Rayen and Jossune together. This picture is in my Facebook, like “Profile Photo” since January. I hope that all my family will be happy, and your families are fine, with health, love and money.

Mr. Robinson and Public Education

Hello everybody! Now, I will make a little comment about a link of Internet, about Sir Ken Robinson, a British citizen. I don't know to Mr. Robinson. Today was my first time with him, and I think that I will see him very soon, again. I think that his video about the education is very interesting because he includes the concept of ecology for the new generations. Furthermore, he talks about the artistic education and creativity, and says this topics are despised in our current model of public education. Also, he talks about the History. The industralization (since the ends of 18th century) and the capitalism have designed a system for the workers don't make something different to his work, and our current model has a rank where the Engineers and Lawyers are the first and the best kind of people. In 2031 -he says- most of people in the world will be studying at the University. Mr. Robinson remembers to Shakespeare and Picasso, and talks about the girlfriend of his son: the real reason for to leave UK. I think that everybody must watch the video, because is very funny too. Robinson’s face is gracious and his voice too. The address on the Red is: http://www.ted.com/talks/lang/eng/ken_robinson_says_schools_kill_creativity.html
Is time to go! Goodbye everybody and see you the next Friday, In this same channel, in this exactly time (hours and minutes).

Picton, Nueva and Lennox.

There are 3 small islands in the south of Chile, in the Beagle's watercourse, that I visited in 2006 with my family on holidays, and likes to me for their History . Picton, Nueva and Lennox were the excuse for begin a war between Chile and Argentina in 1978. However, the Pope John Paul the second prayed for the great peace and his words were listened in the sky for God -or some of his assistants- and since 1983 to yesterday (May 13th, 2010) the nations continued being good sisters. I don't know what will happen tomorrow.
For reach the islands is necessary to take a ship. Travel agencies in Punta Arenas have experience and facilities to organize city tours, excursions, rafting, and horseback riding, to travel through these beautiful places of high archeological interest. The islands are always cold. The sailors of South of Chile must drink wisky. Take care! The temptation is big. Their geographical diversity is surprising, with a setting of hills, lagoons and beautiful waterfalls , not to mention a variety of flora and fauna, where the beautiful and imposing condor can be seen flying very low and also other native birds. Do you want to go? Call me to movil!

My dear uncle "Moncho".

Now I'm going to talk about my favorite chilean character: Alfonso "Moncho" Cabrera.
He was born in Concepcion, Chile, in 1944. He's the incarnation of Peter Urdemales. We don't know who were his parents, only we can talk about his work and some things about his life in the present (friends, girlfriends and children). "Moncho" have been married twice. With his first wife, Karla, had two daughters, twins. His second wife, "Mirnita", fled because she had a bad life with him. Cabrera is the best friend of Guillermo Venegas & family. "Moncho" is Paola's godfather. Who is Paola? The daughter of Guillermo Venegas and Silvia Maturana, his respective wife. Alfonso "works " with Guillermo for a trasnational company calls "Bender baker". He always need money because have many debts. "Moncho" lunch and dine with Guillermo all the time. Always walk with beautifull girls. His clothes are very old and his hair is always disheveled. Alfonso Cabrera represents, by excellence, to common chilean . I think that his lifestyle is admirable. I want to be like him: with spontaneous attitudes and without ethic problems. Is a very good way to survive.

Change the course of our History.

The "27/F Earthquake" changed the lifes of many people in our country. Also the Goverment Programm.

In my particular case, I didn't feel the movement. I was sleeping in the George's bed, a very good friend, because He made a party at his home that Friday, with other guys too.
I drank wine with ice cream. In my homeland, we call it "Terremoto". So, after the facts, my friends went for me, and they told me: "Doctor, terremoto!" I answered: "No please, never more I will drink". Then, Pablito told me: "You are a stupid man (something like that), is a really Earthquake, look at me! I have a candle in my hand because there isn't electricity", and then I could see the room, DESTROYED"

All the people in that house were fine, God exist! For the next earthquake, I hope to be sober.

How do you live this experience?

About me and my expectations

Welcome to this Blog.
Here you will find information about me, my questions and my dreams. For example: What do we now about Onan? Where are we going like civilization? Who is first: the egg or the chicken?
My expectation is to try to answer and make reflections about this things. So, if you want to write something, obviously you can make it with respect.

Good luck in your life, see you soon! (I hope so).

Post Scriptum: Colo Colo is the best team of football in the History of Humanity =)
